Volunteers

How to become a volunteer with Good Neighbours

Can you offer some of your time to help?

We are always looking for new volunteers as we take on more clients. You can offer as much or as little time as suits you. You may wish to be a regular volunteer or help less often. Our volunteers include both men and women, spanning a wide age range.

When are you available?

Most requests are for our help on weekdays and during the normal working day. We are occasionally asked to provide help at the weekend or in the evening.

Are you willing to drive?

Most of the requests from clients involve driving, though some volunteers do visiting on foot.

Insurance

We belong to the Good Neighbour Support Service  – GNSS  – which covers over 100 groups in Hampshire. GNSS pays for our Public Liability and other insurances that cover our volunteers.  If you drive, then we rely on your own motor insurance policy to cover you and we ask you to let them know about your volunteer driving.
